David Creech

Lead Guitar & Acoustic Guitar

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio to a truck-driving, guitar-playing, singing minister and his lovely wife who was also a singer, David and the family moved to central Kentucky when he was 2 years old. While growing up in Kentucky, music was a constant in the Creech home and it was only a matter of time before he picked up an instrument.

“Daddy got me my first bass when I was 12 and I just took right off,” David said. “The bass player from our church took an interest in giving me my first few lessons. I went over to his house where he played recordings from our church radio program. Once I found that first note on the bass, I found the start of my musical career. It just made sense to me.” In addition to the bass, David can also play the guitar, drums, keyboards and has been known to sing a little bit, when the need arises. “I do whatever needs to be done,” he laughed.

David got his start in the business playing for Christian groups like the Hemphills, the Nelons, the Lesters and more. In 1995, he moved to Branson to be a part of the Barbara Fairchild Show. He has also performed with The Branson Brothers show, the Presley’s Jubilee, and several others. David has also done praise and worship ministry at several churches, including with Reverend John Hagee at the Cornerstone Church in San Antonio. He is an active member of James River Assembly Church where he helps out with praise and worship duties.

“When the Grand Country spot opened I jumped at the chance. This is the first job I’ve ever had where I felt at home within the first three or four days,” David said.

David also runs his own recording studio where he records primarily gospel artists. When he’s not working, David said there is nothing more he enjoys than spending time with his 17 year-old son Michael, who is also a musician and singer, his two daughters, Melissa and Rebecca, and their dog Buster. “It doesn’t matter if we go see a movie, go have dinner or just sit around the house, I love to spend time with my family.
